First Place Winner:

 Second Place Winner:  

Pin-Yuan Chen, “Extreme climates modify aquatic macroinvertebrate community’s responses to environmental variability”

The "Extreme climates modify aquatic macroinvertebrate community’s responses to environmental variability" poster developed by Pin-Yuan Chen. Her poster won second place at the 2025 State of the Estuary Conference.

The 2025 State of the San Francisco Estuary Conference featured over 70 posters by students, researchers, community-based organizations, and agency program coordinators from around the San Francisco Estuary. Posters were displayed in the Oakland Scottish Rite Center on October 28-29, 2025. The conference also included an evening reception on October 28 that will feature a poster session where attendees can engage with poster authors and discuss their work.

    Student Participation 

    The conference planning team encourages student participation from high schools, community colleges, undergraduate degree programs, and graduate degree programs. Awards are given for the best student poster presentations.
