Sasha Harris-Lovett, Lead Environmental Scientist, manages the Wetlands Regional Monitoring Program, supports SFEP’s Transforming Urban Waters Initiative, and works on integrating social science and human dimensions into the Estuary Blueprint. Sasha has authored peer-reviewed research articles on decision-making about urban water infrastructure, including nutrient management, wastewater surveillance for public health, and water recycling. Prior to SFEP, Sasha worked at the Berkeley Water Center where she co-led COVID-WEB, a regional wastewater monitoring program for public health decision-making. She earned a PhD from UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group and an undergraduate degree from Harvard.
