Managing Invasive Species

Habitat Restoration

Invasive species harm native fish and wildlife in many ways. They can take over a native species’ habitat, out compete them, prey upon them, or disturb entire food webs. The San Francisco Estuary is one of the most invaded estuaries in the world. The Estuary Partnership has been working to minimize the impacts of aquatic nuisance species (ANS) by serving on advisory groups, coordinating meetings, conducting specific projects, and producing educational brochures.
