The Estuary Partnership assists the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board with permitting for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's Water System Improvement Program (WSIP). The WSIP includes more than 80 projects varying in size and complexity, and covering all aspects of the water system—from dams, reservoirs, pipelines, and tunnels to treatment facilities, pump stations, and water storage tanks. The WSIP will be completed by the end of 2014 and will repair, replace, and seismically upgrade aging infrastructure thereby improving delivery and water supply reliability while maintaining high water quality.
