JARPA (Joint Aquatic Resources Permit Application)
JARPA is a permit application form that consolidates federal, state, and local permits and simplifies the permit process for applicants proposing construction, fill placement, public access impingement, and other development activities in or near aquatic environments and wetlands in the San Francisco Bay Area. JARPA reduces paperwork and processing time for applicants, and should reduce water quality violations by improving applicant knowledge of permit requirements. It also improves coordination among agencies and reduces the number of permit revisions and delays.
