In honor of National Estuaries Day, the Estuary Partnership has published a Birds of San Francisco Bay 2011 calendar--check out some of the winning photos here. This year, National Estuaries Day coincides with Coastal Cleanup Day, sponsored by the California Coastal Commission. To help birds and other wildlife, consider volunteering to clean up your your local creek or shoreline. If you live in Oakland, consider participating in Oakland's Creek to Bay Day. At Berkeley's shoreline cleanup event, the Estuary Partnership is sponsoring a pharmaceutical take-back and will be giving away some of our 2011 Birds of the Bay calendars! If you can't get your hands dirty this year, take WildCare's "Estuary Test."
